SARIGAZI PUMP STATION MEDIUM VOLTAGE SOFT STARTER
Municipality of Istanbul has erected a pump station with medium voltage motors to supply water to Sarıgazi district on the Asian side of town with several housing sites. The medium voltage motors are driven with soft starters to avoid the overload on the power lines and the mechanical shocks. The number of the pumps has been increased from 3 to 6.

Ø The motors are driven using Medium Voltage soft starters
Ø The system has eliminated electrical and mechanical shocks during start and stop of the motor and provided advanced motor protection.
The problem of water hammer has been solved and the maintenance cost of the mechanical system is reduced.
